I'm tired, and can't bring myself to type a big long message about these.
This is not just a set of games. It is also the D-FEND Reloaded front-end for DOSBox. This neat program lets you play all of your old school games with no setup and no problems. Also, in the future i can post my entire game library here and since you will already have the D-FEND Reloaded program, you can just add them with no setup at all, and they will work with just a click!
now for the games....
Basically its a series of games that continue where the last game in the series leaves off.
The full game name is Yendorian Tales: Book 1
There are 3 games in total.
Yendorian Tales: Book 1- Chapter 1
I dont like this game. I included it here because this is where the story starts. It is not like the other two games. This is a top down, keyboard/mouse driven game. It plays a lot like the old ultima games. Go ahead and try it, it won't hurt you, after all.
Yendorian Tales: Book 1- Chapter 2 (My favorite game of my childhood!)
This game is in a first person perspective. It is what's known as a dungeon crawler. If you have ever played Might and Magic, Eye of the Beholder, or to a lesser extent, the Elder Scrolls games, then you know what to expect. You create a party of 4 characters ( I suggest doing ALL magic users, 2 priestly, and 2 magely (mine are monk, paladin, mage, archer) That gives you all the skills you need, since the archer will have thief skills, the paladin will have barter skills, and the others add mapping and alchemy skills.
I will be happy to answer any questions about this game you have. I wrote a hex hacking guide on gamefaqs for this one, if you care to cheat. (i would not on my first go through)
be sure to pick a sling and a staff for everyone (and a bag, too) when you get to choose your starting equipment. (you can only pick 4 items) you can hit the S key or click the bow/arrow icon to launch missile weapons, and if you have all 4 chars with the slings, you can kill most monsters in the first town before they even get to you. also, be sure to click the panel in the top right of the screen (near the bottom left corner of it) as it will flip to show you a 6 slot inventory panel you can put stuff you use a lot in, or (and most importantly) it will show you a MINI-MAP!!! so that you dont get lost.
if you need info on this game, including a walkthrough or maps of any area, just hit F8.
This will bring up a guide where you can see all that info.
again, if you need help with ANY PART of this game, let me know. I KNOW IT inside and out.
lastly, there is a file in the game directory (virtual hard drive/yendor 2 ) thats called game manual or readme that will tell you about the stats, classes, and whatnot (i just found it after months of searching, so enjoy it!!!)
I don't usually beg, but I really want you guys to check this game out. Just make sure you know how to play it before you decide you dont like it. I play it with a xbox controller, with the keys programmed to the keyboard shortcuts. (the shoulder buttons are mouse buttons and the right stick is the mouse) It really is a fun game.
you will be able to get both items and spells that let you teleport around so that you dont have to walk everywhere, and you will also aqquire a party map which shows the big map of where you are so that you dont have to hit F8 and look through those.
Yendorian Tales: Book 1- Chapter 3 "The Tyrants of Thaine"
This is the continuation of chapter 2, and it plays the exact same way, but with 2 very good diferences.
1. Food no longer takes up space in inventory. it shows up with your money and Nu-Ore.
2. You get a freaking Castle of your own! and you decide how to build it and can add all kinds of stuff to it!!!
Here is the download link.

Please note that This download comes with the D-Fend Reloaded Front-end for DOSBox. The program lets you play dos games with no problems on any computer. (if you have a mac, let me know and i will get a mac version for you)
Just click on the DFEND program and it will install it for you (might not need an install) and then you should see the 3 games in the dfend list.
just double click one to play. (i have already set them up for you)
if you have any problems, please let me know and i can fix them for you.
*NOTE* if you already installed D-FEND Reloaded, then you can just open the Virtual Drive folder, and the game files are in there. you can drag and drop them to add them to your existing program. (the files for starting the second one, and i assume the others are like this too, is CH2.BAT, so that is the file you need to select in the dfend editor to get the game to run)
The great thing about downloading this, is that in the future, I can release archives of games, hundreds at a time, and as long as you have D-FEND Reloaded installed, they will add themselves to your program and you will not have to set them up or do anything. just download, click and play!!!
So go ahead and get this one now, please!!
(I will create a file like this one for android phones as soon as i get my phone back in the mail, and can test them)
Enjoy people!
HAVE FUNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
